Magnus has been playing soccer since 5 for a Norwegian club called OddGrenland. Odd Grenland has the best win record in Norway with 12 national championships and two seasons competing in the UEFA cup. Magnus has played for the reserves, and the team finished 1st in 2004.
Magnus has also been coaching for the same club; the U14 boys in 2004 and the U15 boys in 2005.
He has also earned a coaching certificate for blind sports.
In 2005 Magnus played soccer for College Of Dupage, and in his first year they finished 4th in the nation
